Background

Vogue's regional markets had been operating as stand-alone entities, each with their own website and CMS.

As part of Condé Nast's platform consolidation drive, Vogue Fashion Shows was one of the first experiences to undergo transformation — merging UK and European markets onto a single technology platform.

Approach

I partnered with a UX Researcher to iterate and test experiences with Vogue user groups.

The entire journey was redesigned — from fashion show articles through to immersive photo galleries — with a phased approach: European markets were first, and soon followed by the US market.

Outcome

Phase one launched seamlessly, delivering a consistent experience across multiple European markets.

Content could now be shared efficiently across markets, whilst the project paved the way for the unified global fashion shows experience that Vogue use today.

As part of Condé Nasts drive to migrate all content to a single platform, this had implications not just on the back-end architecture, but also the front-end user experience. We designed a unifed fashion Shows experience to be rolled initially to the UK site, and then to other european platforms.

We swept through the entire Fashion Shows experience. Starting with the Fashion Shows landing pages, we redesigned the Designer show pages, galleries and search features - providing a clean, fresh and easy-to-discover experience.
